How do I manually place bids in my auction?

Occasionally, an auctioneer may need to manually place bids for a customer who is unable to monitor the auction, or unable to place bids.  A clerk or admin can manually input bids for their customers within the clerking interface. (For manually creating a user and registration, refer to this document - How do I manually register a bidder for my auction?).

Navigate to the clerking screen of the auction in your app (usually at "companyname.bidwrangler.com" or in the phone app) while logged in with admin/clerking privileges.  If the auction has more than one item/lot, you will need to select the item/lot from the list, and click either "Clerk Item" or "Manage Item" -

Displayed now will be the Power Clerk interface of the BidWrangler platform.  In the "Bid History" frame, click "New Bid":

You will now be prompted to assign a bidder, and an amount:

You can select from the Registered Bidders or the "Floor"

Floor is typically for bidders not registered with a username that would need a bid manually input for for them. Select "Floor Bidder" from the dropdown to assign them to that bid. This bid can be for a set amount, or as a maxbid.

Once "Save" is clicked, you will see the bid automatically appear in the bidding history.
