How to Add a Constant Contact Signup Form to Your BidWrangler Website
Add a Constant Contact signup form to your BidWrangler website: create the form in Constant Contact, copy the embed code, and send it to helpdesk to install.
To put a Constant Contact signup form on your BidWrangler website, you create the form in your Constant Contact account, copy its embed code, and email that code to helpdesk@bidwrangler.com along with where you want the form to appear. BidWrangler's website team installs the embed on your site. The form itself stays hosted and styled by Constant Contact, so its colors, fonts, and fields are controlled from your Constant Contact account, not by BidWrangler.
How Third-Party Signup Forms Work on a BidWrangler Website
A Constant Contact form on your website is a third-party embed: your page displays a form that Constant Contact hosts, and every signup goes straight into your Constant Contact contact list. BidWrangler installs the embed on your site but cannot change the content inside it, which is why styling and field changes happen in your Constant Contact account. The same process works for other email marketing services, including Brevo and Mailchimp, so if you ever switch providers the form on your site can be swapped by sending us the new service's embed code.
Before You Send Us Your Form
An active Constant Contact account with your signup form already created. Building the form, choosing its fields, and styling it all happen inside Constant Contact; their help documentation covers generating the form and its embed code.
The form's embed code, which is a block of HTML (often an iframe) that Constant Contact generates for the form. A preview link or a shareable URL to the form is not enough, because the embed code is what actually places the working form on your page.
A decision on where the form should live, for example your website footer or a specific page.
Steps to Get Your Constant Contact Form on Your Website
In your Constant Contact account, create the signup form you want, with the fields you want to collect (such as email, first name, and last name).
Generate and copy the form's embed code from Constant Contact.
Email the embed code to helpdesk@bidwrangler.com and tell us where you want the form, such as the site footer or a named page. Pasting the code directly into the email or attaching it as a text file both work.
We pass the embed code to our website team, who install it on the requested location.
We will let you know once the form is live. Give it a quick test signup and confirm the new contact lands in your Constant Contact account.
If a marketing agency manages your Constant Contact account, they can send us the embed code directly. We will confirm the request with you before making changes to your site.
Changing How Your Form Looks or What It Asks For
Everything inside the form is controlled by Constant Contact. To change font colors, styling, or which fields the form collects, make the change inside your Constant Contact account, and the updated form will then display on your website. BidWrangler cannot restyle the form from our side, because the form is Constant Contact's content rendered inside your page.
Replacing the form entirely is different from restyling it. If you build a new form, or switch to another provider like Brevo, send the new embed code to helpdesk@bidwrangler.com and our website team will swap it in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can BidWrangler change the colors or fonts on my Constant Contact form?
No. The form is hosted and styled by Constant Contact, so font colors and other styling changes have to be made inside your own Constant Contact account. Once changed there, the updated form displays on your website.
Why isn't a link to my form enough? Why do you need the embed code?
A preview or share link opens the form on Constant Contact's site, but it cannot place the form inside your page. The embed code is the block of HTML that actually renders the working form on your website, so it is what our website team needs to complete the installation.
Can I add the form to my website myself through the website editor?
Third-party embed installations are handled by BidWrangler's website team as a request rather than through self-service editing. Send the embed code and the desired location to helpdesk@bidwrangler.com and we will get it into the queue.
Can I use Brevo or Mailchimp instead of Constant Contact?
Yes. The process is identical for other email marketing services, including Brevo and Mailchimp: create the form in that service, generate the embed code, and send it to helpdesk@bidwrangler.com. If you are replacing an existing Constant Contact form, we will swap the old embed for the new one wherever it appears on your site.
Does BidWrangler sync my bidder list to Constant Contact automatically?
No. There is no direct sync between BidWrangler and any email marketing platform. The signup form collects new subscribers directly into Constant Contact, and for your existing bidders you can export bidder information from your bidding platform and import it into Constant Contact. Marketing Codes can help you build segmented lists to export.
My form's field text is not displaying correctly on the site. Who fixes that?
Start in your Constant Contact account, since field colors and text styling live there. One customer's embedded form had a field whose text color was not showing up as customers typed, and the fix was made in the email service's own account settings. If the form still looks wrong after the change, email helpdesk@bidwrangler.com and we will take a look.
