For Bidders: How to Claim Your Account and Set Your Password

Edited

If an auction house registered you on-site during a live event or created an account on your behalf, your account is considered unclaimed until you set a personal password.

Setting your password gives you full online access to bid on items, track your activity, and manage your account. Below are the two easiest ways to claim your account and get set up!

Option 1: Sign Up for an Account

If you want to set your password immediately without waiting for a confirmation email, this is the quickest method!

  • Step 1: Go to the auction company's bidding platform or app and click Sign In via the menu in the top-right corner.

  • Step 2: Click the "NO ACCOUNT? SIGN UP HERE" link.

  • Step 3: Fill out the sign-up form with your details:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email (Make sure to enter the exact same email address that was used when your account was created on-site!)

    • Password

  • Step 4: Click Submit.

  • Step 5: Once submitted, you will see a "successfully signed up" message!

  • Step 6: Return to the sign-in screen and log in using your email address and your new password.

Magic Behind the Scenes: The system automatically recognizes your email address, merges your online access with your existing profile, sets your new password, and marks your account as claimed - all in one step!

Option 2: Request a Link to Reset Your Password

You can also set your password through the standard password reset process.

  • Step 1: Go to the auction company's bidding platform or app and click Sign In via the menu in the top-right corner.

  • Step 2: Click the Forgot Your Password? link.

  • Step 3: Enter your email address and click Reset Password.

  • Step 4: Check your email inbox, open the password reset message, and follow the link to set your new password.

Note: If you do not see the reset email in your inbox within a few minutes, check your Spam or Junk folder.

Still Having Trouble?

Please reach out directly to the auction company hosting the event if:

  • You did not provide an email address when registering in person.

  • You are unsure which email address is on file.

The auction staff can add or update your email address in their system so you can follow the steps above and access your account!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to create a completely new account if I registered in person at an auction?

A: No. If an auction house already registered you on-site, you already have an account in the system. Following either of the methods above will simply attach a password to your existing profile so you can log in online.

Q: What should I do if I didn't receive the "Forgot Your Password" email?

A: If the reset email isn't arriving (even in your Spam or Junk folders), simply use Option 1 ("Sign Up") instead. Signing up with the same email bypasses the need for a reset link entirely and lets you set your password on the spot.

Q: What if I didn't give the auction company an email address when I registered live?

A: If you only provided your name or didn't include an email address when registering on-site, you'll need to contact the auction company so they can add your email address to your account. Once they've added it, you can use Option 1 ("Sign Up") with that email address to complete your account setup and log in!
