Choosing the Right Permission Level

Many auction companies initially assign Full Admin access to multiple staff members. However, most teams find they can maintain better security by assigning more specific roles.

Common role assignments include:

Responsibility

Recommended Role

Manage users and system settings

Full Admin

Manage auctions and registrations

Admin

Close invoices and take payments

Admin + Accounting

Build and manage catalogs

Admin + Cataloging or Cataloger

Clerk bids during the auction

Clerk

Assigning roles this way allows each team member to perform their duties without granting unnecessary access to sensitive areas.
