How do I use Marketing Codes?
Marketing codes allow you to tag users of your bidding platform based on which auctions they register for. If you assign one or more marketing codes to an auction, every user who registers for that auction will be tagged with the assigned code(s). These tags can be exported along with user data and can assist with sorting and creating marketing audiences for different types of sales.
Before assigning a code(s) to an auction, you must create the codes. Start by clicking on "Marketing Codes" in the Marketing section of your bidding platform.
Create a code (along with an optional title) and hit save.
Next, choose the relevant auction, and click on the pencil next to the auction to edit the auction. In the customization section, find the marketing codes dropdown and choose the marketing codes for the auction
Hit Save.
Now, any user who registers for this sale will be tagged with the selected code(s). You can export marketing codes along with other user data. When exporting user info, ensure that the "Marketing Codes" checkbox is checked in order to export this data.
