How do I enable "Manual Close"?
What is Manual Close?
Manual Close is a timed auction setting that allows an auctioneer to be in control of when and how an item closes. When Manual Close is enabled, the item will be displayed to bidders as "PENDING" when the closing time ends, and will not be marked as "SOLD" or "NO SALE" until a clerk or admin manually closes the item.
Manual Close is especially helpful during real estate auctions when the auction company may need time at the end of an auction to confirm the hammer price with the seller.
When Manual Close is not enabled, the auction item will close automatically, and any winning bidders will be notified.
How to Enable Manual Close
You can quickly enable Manual Close on an item from the auction clerking panel
- First, navigate to your auction in the BidWrangler platform, and click on "CLERK" to enter the timed auction clerking panel -
